Engine Specifications for 80-86 Trucks

Got this off wikipedia. I'm really surprised with the EFI 302's specs. Other than the carb vs. EFI is there anything else that was done to these to get them to have so much more horsepower than their carbed sisters? I mean for the 302 to have 35 more HP and 10 less ft/lb torque than a 351 carbed is quite a site. Ford F-Series - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It is very interesting that the EFI 302 is so close to the 351 2bbl. There is probably a camshaft difference there ontop if that EFI.

Also, I find it interesting that the 460 4bbl actually made more torque than the 6.9 IDI. Guess that is what the 385 is there for.
