how to disable cruise control

I just got a 1997 F250 460ci with only 14,000 miles on it. Along with the truck I got a recall for a faulty cruise control system. Where is the plug to deactivate it till I get it to the dealer? Thanks:confused:

Why unplug it...just don't use it til it's repaired.

Also, with low miles like that, look for leaks at the engine seals and such...inactivity is worse than high mileage on seals.

Good luck, and welcome to the site!!

Because it is hot all the time, it is the same fuse as the brake lights---good thinking on fords part!:-yeahrigh

Just unplug the connector on that pressure switch mounted on the front of your master cylinder..

BTW That was Ford Motor Co. suggestion......
