If you want a new one, you are likely going to have to find a drive shaft shop and ask them. You will need your old one and a P#. That's the only place I could find one.

Well I got around to putting the D/S back together. The parts that came in were correct. I now have a rebuilt rear drive shaft. The seal was a bit of a pain to get on. It is pressed on the end of the shaft. Every socket I had was either too small or too large, but I found a piece of pipe that just barley fit and I got it on. Put the new U-joints in, greased up everything and reassembled. These parts fit my drive shaft on my Bronco. I make no promises that they will fit your Bronco, but here are the numbers I have. The boot is from Neapco, part # N2-86-418. The yoke with ball-N-socket is from Spicer, part # 211631X |

I copied the part #'s into my Bronco file. Too bad we don't have a good repository of Bronco specs/part numbers on this site (or if we do, I missed it), because info like yours is like gold. Thanks again! |

My 95 150 Supercab came from the factory with a 2 joint front driveshaft. There was a TSB, so the dealer installed a double cardan (3 Joint) shaft. 175,000 miles later, I decided to rebuild it. Ford had no part # for the shaft, or #'s for parts. Rumor has it that the shaft is an ealier Ranger retrofit. So I pulled the joints, and went to the local friendly Napa with a set of dial calipers, measured the joints, (cap to cap and diameter of all caps), and looked in the back of the Precision catalog. Turns out the front joint is a Ford 1310/Spicer 1330 combination joint and the 2 rear joints are Spicer 1330, and the cv ball socket kit is a spicer 1310. The Precision part #,s are 434-front, 354-rears, and 617-cv ball socket kit, if anyone needs these #'s. The boot was trashed, and no one knew anything about them :eek:. FleetPride: Homepage $5.45 + tax... I bought three, just in case. They told me that most small truck driveshafts with a non greaseable cv/universal setup use this boot. Their part # is 2-86-418. It is Neapco, they just drop the N prefix. Great info Buck!!! ---Mike--- |
Well that is great, I am glad the info I provided was helpful.
Strange that your U-joints were different sizes, I never understood why they do that. As for my Bronco's rear shaft, IIRC all three were 1350 series joints. Again I am glad someone could use the information I provided. |
just wanted to say thank's for all the info here..my beast started to clunk taking off and I found the driveshaft loose ...big foot and a 428 will bend things ..my 79 is teaching me to behave...now if someone finds numbers and parts for my 1954 ford F-350...I'll buy you dinner!!!
