another tire thread

ok. 4 inch superlift on the way and new rims i picked up at carsile yesterday. wondering what tires you guys are running. i dont do a lot of offroading but i pull a lot of trailers on dirt roads and the winters here in PA arnt something to mess with. looking at 35's. also i have a set of stock wheels with a good set of 265/75r16's on them for sale if anyone is interested. p.m. me for more details.

I'd go 35's. Should fit nice with your lift and handle the snow pretty good. If you are wanting better snow/wet traction and good towing charachteristics I would go with a more all-terrain type tire instead of the mud-terrain. But that's up to you and your preference. Definately get a load range E tire though.

I run a set of TOYO At's they do have a 315x75x16 I am running 295x70x16 and I love the tires they are quiet on the highway with zero bounce or sway since I haul a large goose neck (when my truck is running lol) I also live in florida and the tires handle our sugar sand with ease just keep em rotated and they will last a long time I rotate around 5k miles... BFG AT's are also a good tire but I opted for the TOYO for price and better wear pattern...

i love toyos too but cant find them in a 17. i like the look of the nitto dune grappler and there E rated but never heard of anyone running them

The Nitto Terra Grapplers are supposed to be great. I know a few people who run them and love them.

fordpride 08-08-2010 08:05 PM

I've got the TOYO AT and love them no noise like the mud brutes i had

mountaineer27 08-08-2010 11:33 PM

ive hade a set of them to but cant find them in a 35x12.50r17 or a 315/70r17

urbanagolfer 08-09-2010 05:30 PM

I have a few buddies that have run them before and they said they wouldnt run them again... One had a 250 duramax and the other a 99 f350 they both said the same thing, if you don't rotate every 3-5k they wear funny and begin to bounce and neither had as much luck in sand as the toyos or the BFG's thats just my experience...

mountaineer27 08-09-2010 06:33 PM

well just ordered nitto trail grapplers $296 each

Geez, $300 each? That's steep. I hope they work well for you. Let us know how they do on the truck...

mountaineer27 08-10-2010 10:17 AM

when was the last time you bought tires? all the prices sky rocketed

bad12jr 08-10-2010 12:46 PM

I had set of Cooper Discover S/T 35's and the were awesome tires. They were killer in the snow with very little tread left.

jleal_21 08-10-2010 01:35 PM

how many miles did you get out of the enduro mt's?

mountaineer27 08-10-2010 03:15 PM

theres just over 20k on them now and still lots of tread
