Cab is off getting the motor built, decided to roll the chassis out and pressure wash the whole thing. The engine had badly leaking front and rear main seals, as well as leaking from the rear of the HPOP cover so the front of the chassis was covered with thick oily greasy grime. It's super clean now. I was also really surprised that there is no rust anywhere on the chassis or body and the top side of the engine bay on the body was really clean.

Great time to change out noisy body mounts.

I'll pick up a polyurethane set before the cab comes down...

Day of minor, but important fixes and maintenance.
1. Greased all the zircs I could find. 2. Adjusted drag link to recenter steering wheel following lift 3. Replaced e-brake switch 4. Indexed rear driveshaft to chase down a vibration from 30-40 mph 5. Installed Delrin spacers on front leafs to eliminate squeaks over bumps All minor, but have been bothering me something fierce. |
My timing the last two years has been perfect when I've switched over tires...
First snow today! http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...ps56hwt2m6.jpg People will never learn... http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...pshzh7akq3.jpg |
Got vandalized yesterday at an Apple Orchard. Guess someone didn't like my vehicle or American Flag stickers. Scratched F**K on the passenger quarter next to the American flags
What I get for living in a a sanctuary state :-X19 |

Is that a 11-16 air dam I see installed under your front bumper? What's the skinny on that?

Today on the way home from a weekend camping trip I finally weighed our EX and TT. I had weighed it with our old TH a few years ago but never seemed to have the time on a road day to make the stop and get the new ('14) TT's weights.
I have advised many others, both here and elsewhere to get their rigs weighed just so they know what they are dealing with and to help get the best setup possible. So now I feel a little dumb, as my guestimation of what my tongue weight is based on the amount of squat compared to the old TH's 1450lb TW was a little off. Or maybe a little more than a little off, like 400lbs off! :-X19. I'll post all the details over in the camper towing thread later when I have a bit more time. |

There is a chance of snow in our forecast this week. The X might be going to hibernate soon. |
