In 2000, the 7 lug trucks had a F150 7700 emblem on the tailgate. I remember trying to find 7-150 lug pattern custom wheels for those darn things.

7700 refers to the gross vehicle weight rating, but AFAIK, there is no such thing as a '97/03 F150 emblem that also has 7700 on it. Looked in the parts catalog, no see um. It looked like this http://www.f150forum.com/members/cka...7700-badge.jpg That picture comes from a forum page with a little more info about the 7700's - 7,700 GVW package - Ford F150 Forum - Community of Ford Truck Fans |
AFAIK there's no real difference between the late 90's F250 light duty and the early 2000's F150 7700. They're basically just a heavy duty F150 with 7 lug wheels. I think they just changed the name cause it was too confusing having 2 different F250's (light duty & Super Duty) that were completely different trucks.

How did '90s F-150s get talked about in this forum...?
Let's get back on track and start talking about '61-'66s. |

Remember what happened to you in the SoCal Chapter forum recently? You got your tail feathers all in a bunch, typed several posts where you said peeps showed you no respect, made fun of you and other fall-der-all. There were quite a few responses to your whining posts, none gave you any support. I responded by saying: "Do you know what a pariah is?' 'If not, look up the definition in a dictionary." I surmise you didn't, because you haven't learned a thing inre to keeping your gopher trap shut. Anthony, your problem is...you are your own worst enemy. Please, think things over inre to what you're going to post, how it will affect others, before you click on the submit button. |

Dad had a 350 that had a throttle. Also had a pull cable on the left upper part dash for the floor air vent .

Numbers Dummy - Thanks for the production and survival rate numbers ! I have always wondered around how many of my style were out there: 66 F100 4X4 flareside (stepside) longbed. Glad I have held on to it. My great uncle bought it brand new and I still have original window sticker. !!! I will be starting the restoration in about a month or 2. Thanks again

Just bought a '66 flareside that has the left tire on the side.
It is a straight 6 240 with a 4 speed on the floor.. How rare was the option for the spare tire on the drivers side? |

Probably the rarest option for the 61 to 66 Ford trucks would be the Sports package for the 1964 Models. The Sports package included the bucket seats and console and predated the Ranger package by one year. I have never seen one of these trucks in person and only know of one that has been restored. I have seen a few pictures of them in junk yards. The only thing about the Sports package trucks is they are hard to verify as there was no coding on the VIN plate. The 65 and 66 Rangers had a trim code that indicated bucket seats. Another rare option was a clock, they were mounted on top of the dash. I have never seen one of these either. I am not on hundred percent sure they were really an option, I had read that someplace but have never been able to confirm it.
This picture came from a 64 brochure showing the Sports package. The seats were the same as was found in the 63 Falcon as was the console. http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/h...ochurepics.jpg This truck was for sale. Pretty rough but well worth saving. Note the seats, either the same as the Econoline or the same as the seats in the 64 Thunderbolt. Possibly an early version of the sports package. I do believe the console to be incorrect for this truck. This is the same console as used in the 65, 66 Rangers and is from a 64, 65 Falcon. There is a possibility that some of the later Sports package trucks had this console, but as mentioned above the seats appear to be from an earlier version. There is not a lot of information available on these trucks and it is hard to tell for sure just what is correct and what is not, I am trying to learn as much as I can about these trucks. http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/h...r/64Ranger.jpg |
