Tim Allen(tooltime) '56 for sale!!

Did you guys see the TIM ALLEN silver 1956 f100 for sale on epay?

What a drivetrain!!!! HEMI HEAVEN.....That is awesome.
The body mods are not my taste, but the injected HEMI sure is.
I think this has to be the ultimate match and I know most are not mopar lovers on here, but you must agree, that Hemi is cool!!!

Not my cup of tea, but well done. So Tim got bored with it pretty quickly, what does that tell you?

Personally I like to keep things original but I understand and appreciate the those people who want to build a modified truck so it's set up the way they want it. What I don't understand is buying a modified truck when all the work has already been done by someone else. Seems to me the fun is in building the project and then sharing what you've done with others in the hobby.

I love 56's which have been modified but this one just doesn't flip a switch for me.

Chrysler would have to file for bankruptcy before I would put a hemi in a, what did you say hon? Oh, they already did! Never mind.

sdetweil 07-24-2010 03:42 PM

everybody likes the big wide valve covers in the hemi engines.. bling..

Wow, that is a goofy lookin' creature for sure. Also, is it just my eyes or is that rear fender discolored from the exhaust hitting it? I don't think that's a reflection, I think it's exhaust residue. Either way that exhaust is going to catch and hold some rain, hopefully Tim drilled a hole in the bottom of the pipe... (like he ever touched it before it was done, lol)

A Hemi looks good in anything. It's set apart from the others. A Cammer would look even better in that Truck however.

When I was a kid there was a Fireman in our town that would buy Full-Size Chryslers with Hemis at Fire Auctions and stick those motors in every vehicle he owned. Included a 1 ton stakebed cattle truck, a Valiant, and a longbed Fridge that was brutally ugly and very fast...... :-D

By the Way. I think Fridges are beautiful. His wasn't however....

Wow. That's some truck. I'm sure I've seen it before--magazine or ? somewhere, but I don't remember it. Myself I like it. Its got the total "pro built" look. By that I mean the lines are so perfect and everything-
executed so well. I appreciate pro built trucks and the people who have the money to buy them because-as I read in a mag article the other day-people who buy pro built trucks support the hobby just like those of us who build our own. The probuilders are part of the industry that allows many of the most talented builders to make a living while contributing to a healthy aftermarket of parts from which we amateurs benefit.

Sorry Tim Allen is selling the truck. He's got some really cool cars. I haven't seen them all, but what I have seen are really unique and nice.

I prefer stock. I do however love the 426 hemi.
The truck is too customized for my taste, but a hemi will always be the''elephant'' engine, and that is cool.....too bad it is way out of my budget.

Growl60 07-24-2010 06:43 PM

I cant keep my eyes off that discolored fender.

ALBUQ F-1 07-24-2010 06:48 PM

I was just looking at a sales brochure for a '52 Chrysler Imperial, that compared the car to a '52 Lincoln Cosmopolitan. The Imperial came with a FireDome hemi while the Linc had the pig 337 flathead. (sorry, I had to say it) Chrysler was way ahead of the times, the Hemi is as iconic as the SBC or the (239) flathead.

51PanelMan 07-24-2010 07:35 PM

They went through all that trouble to customize it, but couldn't even find a big window cab to start with.

WALFORD'S 56 07-24-2010 07:38 PM

Some guys don;t like the big back window. I prefer the small glass, and maybe that is why.....??
