F 550 Fontaine owners manual?
I recently bought a 2000 F550 Fontaine classic traveler with the Reyco Granning 345P air suspension. I don't have an operators manual for the suspension or the automatic fuel transfer system. I would be glad to pay someone for a copy , or photocopies will work too. Can anyone help out?.
BTW ...I do have the Factory installation manual for both the fontaine conversion as well as the air suspension (PDF) |
Really? no one? I understand they only made about 500. Figgured some one here had one or at least used to.......

Have you ever got info on this.

No, I haven't. Just been playing it by ear and so far have managed to figure things out. It's hard to know if something isn't working properly if you don't know how it's supposed to work. I was pretty sure the air ride should perform better then it was. After new air bags and finally a new air leveling valve, it does work much better.
The fuel transfer system, I guess is working ok. You fill both tanks and watch the fuel gauge. While driving on a trip, it goes down to 3/4 of a tank and then refills itself from the auxiliary tank. When it finally drops below 3/4 of a tank on the gauge, we assume we are now running exclusively on the primary tank. Because I don't know how it's supposed to operate, I assume this is how it's intended to work. |

I"m in the middle of trying to get them to fix the recall dated 2007 at this time. Have contacted Fontaine and waiting to see what they will do at this point. I don't know about you but the 345P is some weird animal and who knows what the engineers were thinking when they put this together. If I come up with anything else from them I'll let you know.

If the fuel transfer system is made by Transfer Flow, then they have manuals on their website. My F450 has the TraxUFS system. They have two versions, 8 pin or a 9 pin. As far as I can tell, the owner's manual is the same for either version though..:-huh

Fontaine took care of my recall. I expect they will take care pf you. If you have trouble, i'll see if I can find the name of the guy who helped me. It seems like they abandoned the 550 stuff.
But you are saying Fontaine took care of a recall? Are they still in business? I've tried many phone numbers and was forwarded many times when I tried to contact Fontaine without success. What is the right contact info for the Fontaine truck beds? Thank you Speed and CCollins4680! |

Speed... I would be delighted to have a copy of both of those PDFs. (I tried to PM you, but for some reason there is no PM link under your name.) |
Unable to upload pdf files for some reason. I would be happy to e mail them to you, and possibly you could post them here.
Anyone else wants me to e mail them a copy, send me an e mail. Tww1967@aol.com |
