Biggest tyres you can fit on a stock height F150?
Sorry if this has been asked a million times before...
I have 31x10.5" R15 on my truck at the moment but what it the largest tyre you can fit on a stock height '91 f150 without it rubbing where it shouldn't? What is the widest (as in tread width) tire you can safely fit on the stock 15x10" sunraysia rims? |
Don't know about the widest tire, but I believe you might need to lift to fit anything bigger than 31.
I have 31s on my truck now. The cab sits lower than the bed, so I might clear 33s on the rear, but definitely not the front without lifting. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ehicles007.jpg I still have those rims on the truck but I have hubcaps over them now. Looks better haha. Oh and if you know it's been asked you might wanna search and see if you can find the answer. I have no idea about your rim question, maybe 33s? I'd search here or try and find a tire calculator on google to help. |
2wd 31x10.50 4wd 32x11.50 both on stock rims

Yeah i reckon 33 would fit on the back and probably a 32 on the front. My bumper has been replace by a bullbar which is a bit further out.

If its a 4x4 you can fit 33x12.5. Only rubs slightly on radius arms when turning. This is my old 90:

There are no "stock" 15x10 rims, the biggest ever offered was 15x8.

well, hundreds of these trucks came from the dealer with 15x10 rims.....pretty much all the markIII conversions did.....
im running 275/60/15's on "stock" 15x10 progressive rims, and with my stock bumper i have about 1/4 inch clearance from the bumper when turning...... http://i762.photobucket.com/albums/x...k/CIMG0096.jpg |
Well... technically a conversion vehicle is not a factory spec vehicle. I have been wondering for a while now what in blazes this "MARKIII" truck of yours is.. never heard of it before. It's definitely is a sharp looking rig though.

lol, its a "pre-pimped" cowboy Cadillac !.....
as my friends with "real" trucks put it.... |
