How much is this ford f100 worth?

I was looking into getting this ford f100. It has a fresh paint job with a good interior. It has power seats. The thing is, the guy swapped a chevy 350 into it. If someone could give me a ballpark estimate of what they think its worth, I would much appreciate it.

Fine looking truck - says FORD on the outside

What it is worth is a matter of personal choice and of course overall condition. If you think you are a Ford purist and the idea of a Chevy engine bothers you, leave it alone. You are the one who has to be happy with it if you buy it, even at a bargain basement price. If the body is good (no bondo repairs of metal cancer), if it drives well and you believe it would be mechanically reliable, I would think that on the basis of the photo shown you could possibly expect to spend $10,000. Actually there are way too many unknows to make a reliable estimate of worth. Good luck, and please provide us with a follow up.

There's a lot more than just a chevy engine in it, and it looks great in the pics. $5000+

nice truck and i'm with ross on the price . the chevy engine can be cured easily enough . still would make a nice ride to get around in and use daily till you got the green to put a real drivetrain in it .:)

That's a nice truck. Price will depend alot on what part of the country the seller is in, and how bad he needs the money. I'm thinking $7500 or so. Maybe up to to that $10K if it's a really nice resto - no rust, air - etc.

Hint: if you walk up to him with CASH in your hand and let him see it, you will pay $1000 less for it!

she's right .... money talks, bullsh== walks !!!!!!!!! you'd be suprised how much cheaper you can get anything if you got green to wave in their faces right then ..................}>

It all depends what is under that nice paint.
A fresh coat of paint can cover a multitude of sins.
Get underneath and look aroung real good. It will give you an idea of the original condition of the truck.
Rust is not your friend.

It looks really good in the photo. I see its got a modern looking power brake setup. But I can't tell if he's got front discs brakes or not. That would be a plus in value for most. I know it costs a lot to make it happen. And the grill and front bumper look really good. That's not so common. I suppose they're replacements or? Dont know but that's "really" cleaner than I usually see for bright work. I wonder about the wiring? I see some kinda additional wire attached directly to the battery? Myself I don't usually like that. But that's just me. Some devices tell ya to do that. And sometimes a modern computer controlled car has an extra ground setup kinda like that. But to me sometimes extra wires attached to the battery directly make me wonder? And how do the doors open/close etc. What's it look like underneath? What kind of tranny and differential--are they in good working order? Probably? But who knows. Can you live with those wheels? That's not such a popular wheel. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with them, but notice they're not all that popular on trucks. That's all I'm saying. Meaning will you be replacing them? What will that cost ya. And along that line how new are the tires? Sometimes a really nice looking truck like this gets good storage and protection and can have some really old tires that nowadays tire experts suggest be replaced even though they have tons of tread etc. So that might be an issue? Who knows?
I can't see the tailgate, rear bumper, and the other side of the truck. The body panels/front fender/door/bed seem to line up really well--better than my stuff lol. And the pic shows a kinda funny fit of the drivers door at its forward edge against the front fender? That may just be the photo.

But for sure overall it looks really nice uh?

What's it worth$. You'll know when you put your hands on it/drive it/sit in it etc, and answer some of the questions we've asked. I like it.

Tom
