If you look closely you can see that the front of the overhead part, sits on top of the visor panel, that holds the front of it. The back of the overhead part, is fastened via self tapping screws, through the roof frame rail,(at the factory light opening) it is solid as a mule...
I'm overall satisfied somewhat. However, as soon as i can find leather i will re-cover the floor console with it... the overhead i will leave the way it is. except, i'm looking for a different light set up...

hmmm, maybe try to find some aim-able courtesy lights from an RV that you can mount on the side of the upper console and can be aimed wherever the person needs it? Maybe some small LED bar lights to light up the back seat, or as I like to call it, the toss **** over your shoulder area...

May I say great job on the console, thats nice.
