fuel warning "buzzer"
My daughter has an 03 escape 4x4 3.0 xlt. Yesterday the low fuel warning beeper started beeping about a minute after the vehicle is keyed on, whether you start it or not. It beeps in cycles of 5 for about 2 minutes and then quits. No codes stored, no warning lamps, and low fuel indicator lamp is off. This is NOT the door or seat belt dinger, it's the same warning beeper as the low fuel lamp. My tech is clueless at this point, but he is a diesel guy and doesn't work on the escapes. For that matter I've never heard any vehicle do this. Can anyone help???

once again Im a diesel tech. I remeber seeing this a few years ago on some other products in the line when I was doing more gas work. It was always the fuel pump module causing it.
sorry I cant be 100% on this one. |

concern has nothing to do with a filter. its an electrical issue.

Make sure that all the idiot lights-especially the SRS- come on at KOEO.

Recently had trouble with the connector under the seat issue and the light was on constantly. Fixed that and it's been working properly. Fairly sure that light illuminated this morning and then went out, but ....... |

Daughter just called and said it's flashing again after I had it fixed. I'll have the code later after she gets back from second shift. If it ain't one thing it's another--probably the seat connectors again. OH well. Code 47 instead of 37 this time which is either the seatbelt pretensioner or the connectors but still passenger side. Is there a TSB or a harness to replace this faulty troublesome one or can they just be hardwired together to fix the problem? |
Yeah, it's most likely a bad connection under the seat.
Glad you got the beeper thing figured out. |
