seat cover suggestions?
Hi all,
My new used 00' Limited has tan leather & the 2nd/3rd row fair condition but the driver/passenger leather pretty gone (lots of little tears/rips...didn't these people ever hear of leather conditioner, cleaning, etc.?? dummies...but good for me...allowed me to get the truck for a great deal). My budget of course is super limited but what have all you folks used for seat covers that don't look too horrible and/or break the bank. Getting them recovered would be 1/6 the price I paid for truck so I think some decent covers should be the first item on the list. Anyone care to share brands they have used, any pictures, & where best deals are? A few years ago I got some canvas custom fitted ones for my 95' Suburban (which is sold now) that were a deal & fit great on EBAY but that buyer appears long gone. Thanks in advance for help! |

I had Seatsavers from Covercraft on my Bronco. They were very durable and could just be thrown in the washing machine to clean up. They are a denim/canvas material.
I believe they make them specific for the Excursion. I'll probably buy them again if my seats get too worn. |
I will post photos of my "Wet Okley" covers when I get back in town. Lookg super and fit great.

I bought Coverking from Costco. It was about $450. Took a couple of weeks or so for them to make it. They don't stock it, but made to order. Google them and you'll find the website.

Here you go. Looks great huh?
Really, it just keeps it from ripping more. I put a piece of tape under the seat leather, under the crack with the sticky side up, so then the one on top sticks to that, sticky sides together. Seems to hold it on well, it's been there for a few months. http://bitecode.net/tmp/seatpatch.jpg |
I for one would like to see pics of everybody's seat covers. I need to replace the drivers seat bottom at the least. Where do you get tan duct tape?:-dancing1

I was going to suggest Wet Okole ( Wet Okole Car Seat Covers. Waterproof Neoprene Seat Covers. Wet Okole Hawaii ) but you said you wanted budget seat covers.
If you opt to spend a bit more, you'll LOVE Wet Okole's. I had them make a custom set for me for my Lightning. They came out fantastic. Stewart |
