OD light not working? how to fix

Hello I have a 93 f350 with the e4od, so the light on the shifter does not work? I do not know why, but when I press the od button it does down or upshift so I know the switch is working how can I fix it so it will light up, especially if something is wrong with the tranny I will not know due to the light being dead, also I don't know if this is wired into a harness with the parking brake or something, but that light also does not appear on the dash when engaged, although when cranking the parking brake light will show, OD does not. Please point me in the right direction guys, fuses have been all checked even the good ones, replaced for overkill lol, also power distributer fuses have been checked aswell all check out good, thanks

you order a replacement switch, costs about 7 bucks....i just did this same thing about two weeks ago on my '93, works great now :)

Dorman makes them, you can order from LMC truck, Oriellys, or pretty much any auto parts store....DO NOT go to the dealer,
they want about 30 bucks for the exact same thing....

how do I take out the bulb its on the shifter

take a small flat screwdriver and gently pry the ring from around the end of the shifter column, its the very end of the shifter, and is separate from the actual button....

once you pop it off, use the screwdriver again and pry out the button assembly, it has three small brass prongs that plug into the inner workings on the shifter end...the new one plugs in and snap the ring back on, done !!......takes about 15 seconds actually to do the swap
