Pick and Pull in Virginia Beach

I don't know if anyone else has brought this up recently but if not I figured I would spread the news. I have been by Pick and Pull out in Virginia Beach here recently and noticed that they have had a couple late 90's F-150's and Expeditions pop up here and there. So they are starting to show up out there, and of course Pick and Pull has outstanding prices.

I also found out that they now have a feature on their website allowing you to look up a particular model and locating it on their lot before heading out. So if your curious to see if they have a certain vehicle you can find out before you even drive out there or call them.

This is wonderful because a few years ago you could not find a truck in Pick and Pull, and if you did it was striped down to the frame within no time. I will be making a trip there towards the end of next week, have to get a key lock cylinder for the wifes car. Hopefully they will still have one :-D

I'm actually trying to get a few items out of an Expedition or F-150 from the 97 - 03 model year. Mainly would love to get my hands on either a 60/40 or two captains chairs and the center console. Kind of have my fingers crossed I may be able to run into that at the right moment over at Pick and Pull because their pricing is out of this world. If not I'll probably just end up over at Johnson's Mustang & Truck Parts. Finally worn down my bench enough to justify replacing it.

It's a shame that they can't resell those old Chevy parts, have to just go ahead and crush them. They are definitely the flat line of America.

MissIndependent 05-06-2010 08:29 AM

ohhh good one! lol

actually i am sorta looking for the piece across the front that runs under the grill...mine has a colossal dent directly below the passenger side headlight

If your looking to get something like that locally from a junk yard I'd probably give Johnson's Mustang and Truck parts a ring. To my knowledge they would be the ones with the best chance of having it.

As far as my truck goes (1999) every time I have gone to a yard for a cheap part they've usually had to get it off of one of their own work trucks to sell it to me.

they wanted $300 for a front diff when i was in the market...i ended up with two new axles for $250 lol :)
