What do you know about Unique Metal Products?

Don't know anything about them, but it sure looks a lot like that other filter you dislike.

I don't dislike any filters.

I just dislike the way some are portrayed.

Didn't you just install a stock 6.0 air filter on your 7.3, Clux? Not happy with it?

Anyway, it LOOKS cool.......They didn't really mention increased performance....Just increased filtration over the oil-gauze filters.

I put on a 6.0 intake years ago, and I am happy.

Just saw this intake and had never seen one before. Looks like a good setup, but I bet it's big $$$$$$$$$$$.

I like the look of that. Talk about some major bling under the hood. Would be interesting to see some side-by-side comparisons with other intakes.

UMP is good stuff. use to run their filter setups when I was off road racing. 250 miles of silt and they would still be working great. they use Agriculture/off road based filters,again something designed to live in the dirt.
too bad I've spent my limit on PMS this year, I'd consider one of those a definite improvement.

Yup. I was just going to say that it looks very similar in design to what my LONG tractor has on it. It swirls the air around the filter before actually going through the filter and somehow the particulates fall out of suspension before it goes through the filter. Kinda like a centrifugal pre filter. My tractor has a dirt catch at the bottom that I can dump out very easy due to 3 clips, and it supprisingly catches some real fine stuff before it actually gets to the filter.

If we talk it up enough, I'll bet we can get Izzy to buy one and test it out vs the 6637.:-X04

So they've been around for a while, this isn't some upstart company? It's funny that I've never seen this system before now.
The filter looks a lot like what we run on farm tractors as a primary air filter in a similar canister, and they normally have a dust trap in one end.
You could have a UMP intake chromed and hang it on the front fender like a real truck.:-X22
