2001 F-250 7.3L Wire Harness issues

I had ford run a scan on my truck due to the fact the service engine soon light came on and the truck started running rough when in low rpm's. The truck is completly stock. I have never added a performance chip to it. The codes that came up were as follows:

P1876, B1352, P0603, and P1316

I have removed the VC on the drivers side (the easy one) and noticed that the connector clip under the VC had broken. I have read that this is part of my problem so I guess I will have to replace this harness. I dont want to use a zip tie for a temporary fix. I have a few things that I need help on below:

1. How hard is is going to be to replace the harness under the VC?

2. I need to do the check on the passanger side VC so does anyone have any pictures of this process so I can see what I am going to be looking at? There is a lot of stuff on that side.

3. I live in Austin Texas and I was wonder if anyone had any suggetions to where I could pick up a harness for under the VC that is not the dealership? Need to keep cost down. Thanks for the help.

One more thing. After reading all the threads I will defintaly look at all the wiring to see if any of it is rubbing and has shorted out. I will keep all posted. Thanks.

Welcome to FTE.......Have you read about the .50 cent mod by Chris F350-6?If it will work for you it will be really cheap.I do not have the picture but you can search under that sub and I bet it will come up.
The passenger side is not that hard.Remove the IC tube, oil tube will screw out.If it is in the way just take your time and remove it.While you are in there you can torque your injector hold downs.
Check the 42 pin connector for chaffed wires as well.

Parts

You can get the OEM gasket online via partsguyed here, a sponsor, or Riff Raff here, another sponsor. if you want to get it cheaper locally, then go to the International dealer, will be about 52 bucks if its like the international dealer here.

Just to let all of you all know that I fixed the harness with a new gasket and checked the passanger side and did the .25 mod on that side so I would have to get back in there. Thanks for all the help.
