Power Rating for a NP435

Does anybody know how much power you can put through a NP435? How much can it handle?

Not yet but maybe by summers end I'll find out if it can handle 400-450hp.
So, i too would like to know.

It's probably one of the beefiest regular automotive transmissions ever made so.....a lot.

Torque would probably be the deciding factor in what breaks it though. I know mine handles 500 ft/lbs fine.

The things that usually break them is people stripping the teeth of the creeper gear though. If you're 4wd and married t-case, i've seen the t-case adapters crack a few times.
