How to get better MPG?

hey guys!.... im kinda new to the 6.0 PSD (used to have a 7.3)....anyway, i have a 05 f250 6.0psd....bought it recently with 75k on it..... runs great!... wonderin what i can do for increasing my miles per gallon.... kinda nervous to put a chip in it because it seems like a lot of problems or major issues can stem from the engines inability to handle the power increase..... so is there anything i can do to help increase my mpg or am i just being paranoid and get a chip?.... also before i bought the truck i got the oasis report and it came back clean ...no egr, turbo, etc... problems.... so let me know your input.... thanks guys!

Go easy on the skinny pedal, properly inflate the tires, and regular maintenance. Oh yeah, easy on the gas pedal.

All the usual stuff. A must is to keep up on your maintenance. Watch your tire pressure, synthetic fluids etc.... Biggest thing is to slow down. Most modifications to the body and ride height also decrease your mileage.

yea everything on the truck is stock except for the high idle.... no bolt ons that'll help with the mpg increase?

What kind of mileage are you getting???The 6.0 doesn't get mileage of a 7.3 but the 7.3 doesn't have the get it either!!

F-250... what is your rear axle ratio?

Any lifts, mods, etc.. did you remove tailgate etc.

I am doing 20mpg going easy 65 to 70mph at highway, level.

Wait for summer diesel for an additional 10% for free.

Stay away from the "chip" unless you want to spend more money fixing problems that it creates than you will ever save in fuel cost. Just my $0.02.

Get the sct with custom tunning. The only way you can hurt the truck more than stock is bad tunning or your foot pushing the truck past stock hp levels. You can have a high hp tune and never pass stock hp with your foot.

egr delete.

stage 1 inj, stage 1 turbo.

syn in eng, both diffs, transfercase.

cat/muff delete pipes. 4" exh can lose low end tq and that is were the mpg is.
