They are the same as Falcon V-8. 1963-5. I think Fairlane too.

They are not terribly hard to find. Most people have converted to 14".

If you don't need to be stock, Ranger wheels fit.

Ihad a hard time finding a set for my 64. It has 14's on it, but I wanted original 13's. I finally found some by fluke after years of searching. My neighbor had a large pile tires and rims on his farm. He started cleaning them and low and behold he had 4 from a old Econoline shop truck hwe worked at before retiring.
Another friend here also lucked out. He saw a parked Mercury Econline van in a feild. Made a deal to buy it from the farmer. Inside were 5 13" rims with Mercury moon hubcaps. He been looking also for a few years. They are out there, but you have to search for them. The other thing is the early Valiants had 13" rims and they are just a bit different design.
The other thing me and my friend found was the Falcon/Comet rims in 13" are narrower, where the van ones are wider. I think the Falcon ones are 5" wide or 4.5" wide. The vans are 6" I beleive.

The 63 Falcon Station Bus/Club Wagon/Deluxe Club Wagon brochure that I have says 5.5" rims with a 6.50x13 tire.

All wagons, hardtops and convertible Falcons used 6.50x13 tires.

All V-8 Falcons used 6.50x13 tires.

So while you may be correct that Falcons may use 5" rims (4.5" is unlikely except in 6 cylinder, 4 lug cars), they all used the same size tire.

Sorry I cannot be more specific. I am at a Falcon show in FL and cannot access my technical files.

I could be wrong on the 4.5 rims, I will admit. I know the friend here with his two Econoline vans. The one he is trying to find narrower rims for the front and wider ones for the back. When he bought this van it came with a narrow one. The ones he found aftewards were wider. So my memory maybe off on the size.
Tried getting him to join, but he won't he is with Vintage -vans online.
The one van he got last year was arust free 65 Econoline Ambulance for $300. Yes $300.

The 5" is the correct for the 62 Econoline pickup but I would be happy with ANY 13" 5 lug wheel.
So does anyone have any???????

Thanks again
Dave

In-correct!

All V-8 Falcons used 6.50x13 tires. :-huh
In-correct!! Where are you getting this info from?

1963/70 Falcon V8's came with 14" wheels, as did 1967/70 I-6 Falcons.

ONLY 1960/66 Falcon I-6's came with 13" wheels. Two sizes were available 13" x 4.00" (CODD1007J) & 13" x 4.50" (DODZ1007A replaced CODZ1007A).

14" wheels (C4DZ1007A) were optional on 1964/66 Falcon I-6's.

The DODZ wheel also fits 1970/72 Maverick/Comet.
-------------------------------------------------
C1UU1007A .. Wheel / 13" x 4.5" x 4.50" bolt circle / Fits: 1961/62 E100 & (believe it, or not) 1965 Mustang V8 / Use with 6.50x13 tires.

C3UZ1007B .. Wheel / 13" x 5.5" x 4.50" bolt circle / Fits: 1961/67 E100 / Use with 6.50x13 tires.

The 1957/63 & 1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalogs // 1960/64 & 1965/72 Passenger Car Parts Catalogs are available on CD's from hipoparts.com.

Sorry, but you do not know what you are talking about.

NO 60-65 Falcons came standard with 14" wheels. 14" were optional in 64/5.

Ford upgraded to standard 14" wheels starting with the Mustang and the 66 Falcons.

In 70/71, Ford eliminated 4 lug wheels and all cars went to 5 lug axles.

My source is:

20 years of collecting, buying and selling Falcons;

My business partner's 35 years of buying, selling, restoring and collecting Falcons;

The numerous ORIGINAL Ford Factory Falcon Brochures and owners manuals in my collection;

The 64 Falcon factory V-8 sedan sitting in my barn with the original 13" wheels still on it; and

My business partner's 63 Sprint hardtop that still has the original 13" wheels on it.

You can also go to Coker Tire - Your Source for Antique Tires and Wheels (the source for antique tires) and look it up yourself.

I get into this 13" versus 14" argument all the time at Falcon shows because most people long ago converted to 14" wheels. So everyone believes that 14" were standard on early Falcons.

But you are correct, V-8 sedans, hardtops, convertibles and wagons came with 7.00 x 13 tires, not 6.50 x 13.

Ok I started this thread and was looking for some help in finding a set of 13" 5 lug ford wheels. Was not looking for a history lesson just some help finding some. But looks like you have more historians that pickers here. Sorry

Uh huh...my info came straight from the Ford parts catalogs.
I'm just the messenger, I read and type what the parts catalogs state. So...if you wanna argue...do it with FoMoCo.

NO 60-65 Falcons came standard with 14" wheels. 14" were optional in 64/5.
That's what I said, C4DZ1007A 14" wheels (4 lug) were optional on I-6's only.
V8's came with 14" wheels: C8OZ1007G (5 lug replaced C4GY1007A).

Ford upgraded to standard 14" wheels starting with the Mustang and the 66 Falcons.
1965/66 Mustang 6 & V8's were both available with 13" & 14" wheels. 15" wheels were standard on GT350's.

Last year for Falcon's w/13" wheels: 1966. The '65/72 car parts catalog sez: X 1966 (54, 62A & B)-6 cyl. DODZ1007A (replaced CODZ1007A) 13 x 4.50 use w/6.50x13 tires.

In 70/71, Ford eliminated 4 lug wheels and all cars went to 5 lug axles.
1970/73 Maverick/Comets were available with 13" wheels. These are the DODZ wheels that replaced the CODZ wheels.

My sources are:

1) The Ford car & truck parts catalogs...where all the info I typed came from.

2) I was a Ford partsman when these vehicles were BRAND NEW (1962/97).

3) I've been in the car hobby since 1956, and have owned over 80 Fords, including a '63 1/2 Sprint ragtop (260/T-10), 1965 Sprint ragtop (289/C4).

4) From 1966 thru 1986, I bought out over 300 dealers stocks of obsolete parts, sold them at swap meets and thru Hemmings.

I listed the parts catalog references and where to get them.

Since you didn't name them as a source, I suggest you get them and read the info for yourself.

I also typed the 13" Econoline wheel part numbers and what their applications were. I ran these two part numbers on the obsolete parts vendors website, no one had any.

The Ford Dealer Parts Locator System is down. When it comes back up, I'll run the numbers to see if any dealer has them.

The real problem is...most FTE members have ZERO Ford parts catalogs, even though they are readily available on CD's for cheap.

Ppl tend to rely on what they've seen on other vehicles (after years of parts swapping, who knows if the parts are the originals...or not?).

Sales brochures are not accurate...since once printed...any errors go un-corrected. Meanwhile back at the ranch, parts catalogs were updated 4 times a year.

The '65/72 passenger car parts catalog was updated 44 times between 1965 and the final edition of May 1975.
