Replacing Instrument Panel Lights &

My 97 F 150 left side of the inst panel is dark. How to change the bulbs?

Also the glass in the left hand mirror shakes....How to tighten it up if possible?

Thanks for any info.:-newbie

here ya go for the pannel lights. its really pretty straight forward. dont just replace the big bulbs do the little ones two.... i made that mistake.. .
at least the three in the top of the speedometer.

if you find the answer for the mirror, i too am interested in the answer.

Another pointer, when you replace the instrument cluster lights, go with LEDs. You will never have to change them again. And yes, do them all. Otherwise you can have another one go out at any time. While not the hardest job out there, it is not something you want to do again.

You just start by removing the panels in going for it. You might need a set of start drives, some of the bolts might have a torx head.

Thanks for the info.....I don't know how to get the dash apart.....the 3 screws up under the speedo area are easy but what comes next or first? Tried prying a bit on the piece near drivers door....no luck. Any way to take the top of the dash over the speedo out? Or is it accessed by some other way?
Thanks, Goudey

If you find answers to the mirror vibration, I need to know too...I think it's because the panel/cover (matching your paint color) on the back lets air in, but I'm not sure. I do know the panel is removable.

had the mirror vibration issue as well guys only solution i found was a whole new mirror, i tried everything to fix it.

Do you remember how much that cost? My mirrors have the "invisible" signals in them so they're probably more than normal.

i just kept my eyes on ebay and found a pair of used ones from a junker, i think i gave 80 for a pair of electrics with a painted cover
