WVO system and truck help

Hi guys! I have been reading in here over the last few nights about wvo. I have learned alot but still have a lot to learn. I'm trying to way the risks out on doing this. It seemed it would be filter it, dump it in a tank and go. I have learned that not the case. I would also like to say I'm doing this as a school project on going green and would like to take this and my truck if I do it to state compition in late May! I'm part of Skill USA if anyone know or heard of it.

I have a 96 F250 psd with 127,708 and only mod is a AFE cold air in take.
My question,
What do I need to make a heated second fuel tank system? I would use a plastic 55 gallon drum, Blue! I was looking at jooknon kit. He whats 425 for it.

What mods are need to the motor to run this kit? Also if the motor has mods can it be used. I.e stage 1 injectors, chip, ect

What temp should the motor be running at before switching over to straigh wvo?

How long does it have to run on diesel before shutting it down?

Your guys filtering staitions? Tips and pictures.

I'm doing this to try to win a state champion ship and go to nationals! So please help me with this. I will be reading more and more. I'm sure more question are to come.

Thank you
Doug and Camden county tech school!

Google Veggie oil and study it. You need to have a tank heater and after engine reaches running temp, you can switdh but its better to use a system which tells you Veggie oil temp, it needs to be 160 but I hear not above 200 and a lot of other temps. Buy a 203 or 205 degree thermostat. We run a winterfront in the winter and I'm sure I'll get reamed for that but having driven 1.9 millioon miles I know how to regulate it. I use a 100 gal. aux tank and pump from it to the rear tank on the pickup and heat the rear tank. For filtering we use a 1 micron filter and circulate through a water heater to keep it warm and 2 250 gallon tanks for storage. Its a hassle to haul, dump, cleanup and remember all the steps like purge veggie oil from the system before shutting down. Read everything and make your own judgement. I get 20 mpg on it and after labor its about $1.00/gal. so at 12000 miles a year it saves a lot of money.
