1979 Ford F150 4x4 build

So i finally came across a roof top for my truck, i found a complete cab with both doors and front a rear windows for 100 bucks. My body shop made some room for my truck today. and will begin working on her asap. i cant wait till i have the roof on, many people have tried to discourage me from restoring this truck but what the heck i already have it why not finish it.

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK? i have been reading this forum before buying my truck, and i have to say i love this site. ihave a guy offering a discount on a tranny just for being part of this forum. i added some pictures all critique will be appreciated....

Looks good to me.
I have never seen a roof rust like that.
Is the rest of gthe truck pretty solid?

Heck I would rather swap roofs than try to replace cab mounts and floor pans any day. So what did happen to the roof any way that isn't normal.

here's an idea for you. i guy around where i live has an older s10 low rider and something cool that he did might be interesting to you. he made it into a removable hardtop. i've never seen it up close but it looks like he made a channel on both parts covered it with weatherstripping and used some clip latches like old style trucks used for the hood, i think hummer h2's use em too. just a cool option you might wanna think about

Looks like a good base other than the roof, good luck and update this thread!

Good lord. Heard of tounge in cheek? How many negative comments have I made? Note my not so subtle attempt to pick up a 79 F150 for $100. Geeze. It's sweet dude. I'd love to have it. Lighten up man. It's just the internet.
