For many, Memorial Day marks the beginning of a season of summer fun. But don’t let the real meaning of the holiday get lost amidst the barbecues and beach sand and the camaraderie.

Memorial Day – originally called “Decoration Day” – unofficially began in 1865 as a way to honor fallen Union soldiers of the Civil War. Because of this lingering resentment over the civil war, many Southern states did not observe the holiday until after World War I.
Memorial Day has since became an occasion to honor fallen soldiers from all wars after WWI.

-Fly the flag at half-staff from dawn until noon, local time.

-Participate in a national “moment of remembrance,” which occurs at 3PM, Washington DC time

i live 15 minutes from surfside, its alright good fishing some times but i prefer quintana i can do donuts peel out and act stupid in the truck and not get in trouble XD and the fishin is ussually better

i would like to have a big gtg in galveston that would be awesome, and its no problem i think it would be fun to get to know the Texas Chapter Members face to face rather than on a computer screen.
