Broken motor mount?

Dancingchicken 03-08-2010 09:07 PM

Too funny.

So its shaking like it has a dead miss in one or more of the cylinders?

If you have a mechanics stethoscope touch it to each of the injector bodies that you can reach and see if they are working or "clicking", especially #6. You may have a dead injector? I am not sure if these are batch fire or sequential fire, I want to say batch. I have seen a bad injector overload an injector driver in the computer and have it shut down the driver. If it is batch fired that could mean more than one injector would stop working making for a heck of a miss/shake. Probably need more info to help you out though.

Or, if that doesn't work, check and see if there is a really big dog in your bed passing a peach pit?:)

fordman1090 03-08-2010 10:33 PM

What engine/transmission does the truck have?

daveyboy1 03-08-2010 10:51 PM

Is the check engine light on. might be a clue there if it is.

zx9ktm520fords 03-08-2010 11:14 PM

thanks guys its a 93 302 5.0 and the check engine light is not on.

fatdan460 03-08-2010 11:21 PM

do you live in chile or haiti? could've just been an aftershock.

zx9ktm520fords 03-08-2010 11:36 PM

That was funny i live in california in the good ol U.S.A but we have had some good size earth quakes lately but i can control these quakes with the turn of my key.

fatdan460 03-08-2010 11:40 PM

i've had a spun bearing in a 460 that made that happen but i would imagine your check engine light would be on if that were the case

90GTDan 03-08-2010 11:43 PM

So have you pulled the plug wires one at a time to determine which holes are dead? Does it seem like it is more than one cylinder missing?

zx9ktm520fords 03-09-2010 12:04 AM

I did pulled each wire and nothing changed
