Ford Fuel Injection How To Run a Self-Test Here is a link on how to read the codes without a code reader, however you could buy one for around $30 to make life easier.

Zip Code Select | O'Reilly Auto Parts Have a look here. Might even get one cheaper at wal-mart.

You can pick up a code reader in your desk drawer. A paper clip will get the job done.

There's one called the Innova Equus 3145 that a lot of people like (I have one and I recommend it to everyone with an OBD-I Ford). It's much easier and far less error-prone than using the paperclip. I see tons of posts in this forum where people misread their codes or I at least get the feeling they have. The code reader removes all doubt.

Yeah, I'm one of them. Did it five times and pieced together something that made sense.

My guess for the front tank is that the in-tank pump is bad. However check that you have 12v going to it in case the selector switch or wiring is bad.
