I have 1986 5.0 ho it was rebuilt without roller cam I want to make it a carb motor I found a 302 carb motor but owner dosen't know what year it is I need to know if intake, water pump pulleys etc, from any year 302  will fit my motor Thanks Mike

Exterior parts other than the harmonic balancer and flywheel/flexplate (assuming it's a pre-1981 engine) should swap over with no worries.

Yeah a 5.0 is a 302 so everything bolted to the shortblock(including heads) will interchange though you want to be mindfull of the balance difference before and after 1981 as the Baron mentioned, and that there can be differences in water pump rotation, accessory brackets and pulleys with engines from different vehicles. Block casting numbers are down on the side near the starter and while that won't tell you exactly when the motor was built it will tell you general things about it like it's balance weight.

They are the same... a "302" just means it has 302 cubic inches, wich translated to liters is equal to 5 liters (that's why it's a 5.0).
