1970 F-700 value

Hey,
I met an ol boy with a 1960 F-600 parts truck i wanted. While showing me around his property, we stopped by one of his three huge sheds that he has. I asked me what he could be for his old rice truck. It's a 1970 F-700. Dayton wheels, air brakes, 330 FT v8, 5 speed, 40,00 origional miles, and a non hydrolic dump bed. The thing has been parked in a barn its whole life. The paint is in amazing shape, the bed is not beat up at all, and the tires have 3/8 tread still on them and are in awesome shape. What could he get for some thing like this?
Thanks,
Alex

$6000 here:

Looks like $4000 might be the floor for a runner:

Non-hydraulic dump....is that one of those winch on the front, water pipe frame, cable under the cab jobs? Used to lots of those on old GI's. If not, what is it?

Does it run? Air in the tires? Brakes? If it's a runner, he's in better shape. It's a CDL-required truck, though--air brakes & I'll bet he's over 26000 GVWR.

I mean its a dump bed. It pivots on the back of the frame. I should have said a non powered dump bed. Its ready to roll. All of the tires hold air. I got to drive it down the road. It's a fun old beast. I mentioned the CDL and he said he never had one when he drove it.

How does it dump? Any pics? Check your local regs., if the truck is for personal use you may not need a cdl...

CDL isn't about personal use, it's about GVWR 26001 and over:

Who needs a CDL?

Airbrake test also required:

What tests are required?

1970 F700 Value

I have a buddy that just purchased a 1970 Ford F700, that was stored inside of a heated building for 35 years. The truck is in amazing shape! Everything is original on the truck besides the paint job. There is absolutely no rust on this truck! The truck has 5,500 miles on it and it has a 330 Heavy Duty Truck Engine, with a 6 Speed Automatic Transmission. This truck was also outfitted with a 4x4 Marmon Herrington system, which was apparently a factory option back then. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what a truck in this type of condition could be worth?

I would really appreciate anyone's insight on this!
