Gear Selector Replacement?
I bought my truck with the OD tip broke off of my gear selector. The stealership wants like 250 to replace the gear selector but i talked to the parts guy and i could get the gear selector arm, the OD button and cap for like 90 bucks. Has anyone replaced their gear selector and is it much to difficult. They said its about an hour and a half worth of labor.

Does anybody have any info on the gear selector? the end of mine has 3 wires showing which must be part of the OD button. Obviously this part is serviceable if Ford can do it in an hour and a half. Im just lookin to save on labor costs and DIY Does anyone have any info or diagrams on how the gear selector arm connects to the steering column. I want to have an idea of what im getting into.

I always pill it just to get a good cleaning, I also normally remove the clear cover and dust the instrument panel. the customers love it!
