67 300 Econoline headers?

Has anyone seen or heard of putting headers on a 300 - 6 in a '67 Econo? I have a falcon super van that has a newer 300, and I'm in the process of MFI'ing it to an '89 4.9 system, only problem is that the 4.9 MFI exhaust won't fit in the doghouse, and I don't want to mess with blocking the old manifold riser.....
Hedman makes the 89300 headers for the truck, which I believe uses the same crossmember to mount the engine, but they have not had one in to fit check to see if it would work. I know it shouldn't work on the older econo's, as they mounted engine differently, but the '67 just might. Any help would be appreciated.

Clifford Performance/Research makes a ton of stuff for Ford 6 cylinders. Everyone that I know that has hopped up a 60s Ford 6 cylinder has used at least some Clifford products. I do not know how much of it will work on an E-100, but they can probably tell you.

Here is a link tho their catalog page for the Ford 300.

Thanks! I called Clifford and they confirmed it will work! I assume that will make all the truck headers to fit the '67 -300. So many have just never done it, as everyone wants to jam a V-8 in the hole!

Did you find headers to fit?
I have the same question and wanted to know if the Hedman headers from a 240 F100 would fit?

I think Clifford is the only one that will fit. I ordered the Hedman and they did not fit. they stuck out of the doghouse as well. I made a blocker for the old manifold, and went that way.

The EFI manifolds that are split, will be an improvement....

Headers are useless on a stock engine.....The EFI mani's will give a definantly power boost....

I used the Cliffords when I replaced the old 3:2 dual headers on my E100 p'up 170ci. The difference in torque and throttle response was quite evident. The 6:1 is a great way to go.

Though I haven't put headers on my '66 Falcon van, it has a 240 in it which is the same block as a 300 so you should be able to make that work. Give them a call they will KNOW. No guessing required.
