Malvern/Hot Springs
 

Well after 6 months it looks like I might finally be headed back to work. It's been a long time since I was in Malvern, and even then it was just passing through. Anyone know anything about the Malvern/HS area I might need to know? Looks like I'm going to drag the trailer down to a place on the east side of Hot Springs for now. I had hoped someone up this way would blow my phone up...but no such luck.

What do you need to know? I live just a bit north of HS and work there. I also grew up a bit east of Malvern.

The basic question I had were...where's the best place to buy diesel (price and good/clean fuel)? I've got the camper set up at a park east of Hot Springs...and think it's a pretty good place. I'm not a fan of WalMart...is there a AWG or mom & pop grocery store that's decent? I'm working out of Jones Mill...so something on the NW side of HS is out of the way, but if it's good I'll make the trip as needed. Thank you for the information.

I don't know bout diesel cause I don't buy much. We use Kroger the most but there is a Bob's Food City on the corner of Malvern and Grand. There is a Brookshire's and some mom & pop place in Malvern.

I take it Bob's is in Spa City? Seems like I seen the name "Malvern" listed as the name of Hwy 270 inside HS city limits. I seen diesel in Malvern at the WM at a some what reasonable price yesterday ($2.78 I think), but was hoping I could find something a little closer to what we're paying in Fort's Myth ($2.67 on Sunday). May have to break down and get that larger under bed tank & large in bed Aux tank so that I can round trips between FSM and HS.

Ya Bob's is in HS. 270 is Malvern Ave from out east of town to downtown. That price is about what it is all over town.
