2003 f-350 7.3 drivers side 4x4 noise????
 

i have a lot of 4x4 noise coming from drivers side, almost sounds like bad bearing. i also have to replace a wheel bearing hub assemly on the same side do to noise in 2 wheel drive. so i guess my guestion is what could cuase this growling in 4x4. first i was thinking hub because it is extremely hard to turn that side, while the other side is very free? but now im second guessing myself because i can lock the hubs and leave it in 2 wheel drive and it doesn't make any noise, only when 4x4 is enganged, and it is under a load, or decellerating! any suggestions?

I think you might have another bad wheel bearing assembly.
I had the same issue and my whole passenger side was FUBAR, replaced everything back in NOV and my 4x4 hubs and bearings are good to go!
where in Mi?

Mine did the same thing on the drivers side. just rebuild it and it will be easier to turn and the sqeak will go away.
