Are you thinking stock -- monochrome or two tone? Or something custom?
Mine is mono, with limited chrome. The colour is 'blue met' or 'blue mist', po chose it. Check my gallery.

Im in California, I think that counts as west coast :)

My daughters 71 F250 is at the body/paint guy now. She ( i told her any color she wanted) decided on Candy Apple Red with Charcoal Grey Interior! I will post pics as soon as I can!

If you look at my gallery I have a two tone, black on the bottom, claret red on top, with the split along the bump. We put a small black stripe down the top of the bump above an equal width red stripe. We put a lot of gold pearl flake into both the black and red, so it looks completely different in the sun light.

Mine is a step side, so we did the step and fender in black, and the box in red.

In my gallery is my '72 blue and white and my '68 green

The '72 has the thick XLT body trim seperating the 2 colors.
The PO didn't repaint the top correct. Factory would have the door and around the windshield white and only the roof and around the rear window blue. There is also an attempt as flames on the hood as well.

The '68 would be an XL in todays standards in a mono color.

The paint job will be something other than stock! I'm gonna go with a modern color scheme. I like blues but wanting something little different. like a fast lookin silver type. haven't seen two many of these trucks fixed up and just lookin for some trucks to check out. Catch you guys later, thanks for checkin in. Its about 10 degrees right now and getting colder, chance of snow tonight.

Mine is decidely not stock -- Rangoon Red for my highboy from the factory.
I suspect the current colour is based on some early and late sixties che****. It's very similar to a 64-66 Chev* II I see around locally, as well as a local Camino -- both mint and beautiful (as far as it goes, right?).

As far as 'fast looking' goes, I dunno. My truck never looks fast, and doesn't go that fast. However in third it *sounds* fast. :-X10

A body guy told me a long time ago that two-tone body jobs are for old guys. Maybe I'm getting old, it's growing on me.

Maybe I should repaint to distance myself from those accursed non-fomoco entities...

10 fahrenheit? I'm from Canada so if my conversion is correct it's 15 - 20 below freezing? Up here on the west coast it was +10 celcius today , so about 50 Fahrenheit...

I have always liked red and white together. I also really like the colour of the mustang in gone in 60 seconds(new version). I think mine will be black, my brother has said "everyone should own one black vehicle in their life" so this one will be mine.

I've owned a black car since 2001 and it's real hard to keep clean and looking shiny. Also bought another black car after that (used and no color option) and a black truck (used as well). The used black car was just as hard to keep shiny but I also didn't really try to keep it shiny. The black truck I might have washed it 5 times in the 5 years I owned it. Old Toyota I didn't really car about how the paint looked.
My mom just bought a black car (last "left-over" they had) and same thing. Plus some how you can see all sorts or tiny scratches in the clear on it. I think from a car wash.

Don't get me wrong. I do like black and it does look good but is a bear to keep looking factory shiny.
