Front door speaker size?

Hoping someone knows the speaker size in the front doors of a 1990 f250. Type and size would be nice. Mounting depth would be down right awesome. Its cold here and popping off door panels is asking for trouble. Thanks guys.

Yup...and a 5 1/4 will fit as well.

As far as depth, my door speakers are about 3.25" beep and they fit in with no problems. The only problem you may run into is where the tweets are mounted on the face of the speaker, they may be too tall. Look for a slimmer design on the face to clear the integrated grille on the panel.

6 1/2"

Rear quarters are "Ford/Mazda" specific 6" x 8".

A tip if you have tinted windows though, a simple fix to keep the speaker from possibly rubbing on the window is, simply put some washers between the speaker and the door to space it out and keep it from scratching your tint.

Wish I had known that before the person that put everything together in my old car.

Thanks for the info.

Now on an unrelated to speakers note: I just found some new doors with power windows. Whats the chances the wiring harness is in my truck.(1990 f250) I have manual windows and locks. The power doors are in much better shape and I would sure like to use them. Maybe I should "New Post" this.

uhm it wouldnt be to hard to make them work.... there is a place in the fuse box that prolly has a fuse in it already just run ur hot wires from it... then run a hot wire from the drivers side door to the passenger side door switch and tie it with the hot wire so u can opperate both windows from the drivers side....

hope that makes sence to u

Yeah. I know what your trying to say:-D. I really didnt wanna break out the tester, wiring, crimpers, and swearwords for this one. But I may have no choice. Still probably easier than switching all my manual gear over to the good power doors though.

You are better oof getting a split speaker setup for the doors!
I have 6 inch or so fusion splits which fit nicely behind the door panel!
I have the tweeters mounted on the ends of the dash next to the front pillars!

I think you were reading my mind IB. My exact plan. Thanks for the suggestion.

My pickup doesnt have speakers in the back. Was it an option? I have an XLT, I thought that was the "luxury" version

Didja look in the cab corners behind the seat? They are hidden behind the plastic. At least that is where they are in my 92 XLT.

The 87-91 standard cab trucks only had front speakers

Check out Crutchfield: LCD TV, Car Stereo, Home Theater, Speakers, Plasma TV they have a web config tool that will tell you what you can fit in your truck.
