4r100 center support bolts question
When I put my Ex in drive this morning it would just rev, not engage in drive. After 3-4 seconds I was able to drive. Also does this in reverse. I was speaking with JW and he offered the suggestion to re-torque the center support bolts and see if that helps. I understand I have to remove the valve bodies to get to the bolts...
Two questions, first is can this be done with the tranny in the truck? Second does anyone have clear pictures of where the check balls go. Timing isn't quite right for a transmission but as soon as I can, after talking with JW that's what I'm ordering... |
Yes this can be done in the truck. Front feed bolt is 9-13 FT. LBS. The rear two are 6-10 FT LBS.

Thanks for the reponse.
What about the check balls and their posistion? Anyone have a pic of where they are? (I'll document this when I do it...probably on Friday) |

Torque these 3 bolts and all the other VB bolts and nuts to 89 in-lbs (80-100 in-lbs).

Thanks! Exactly what I'm looking for. I'm going to try this out tomorrow if all goes well.
