95 F-150 engine and transmission wire diagram
I have a 90 F150 pickup with a engine that came out of a 95 f-150 pickup and a transmission that came out of a 97 f150. The problem is it's having some trouble staying in overdrive (or as some say lockup) at cruising speed. It would go in to overdrive when its under some kind of load but jump out when when its not.
Also, if you punch it, it wants to stay in the current gear until you let off. Like from a stand still, it will stay in 1st until you let off some and will quickly pass 6000 rpm if you're not careful. So, we need some diagrams for the engine and transmission wire harness. Where might I find them? |
i have a chiltons manual , i can look it up and scan the pages you need ... humm what do you need ? it might have it it might not ?
also is it manual or auto ? and for what yr 97 or 90 ? just let me know as soon as possible .. jayson |
its an '97 automatic tranny bolted to a '95 302 V8 5.0.

Sounds like the speed information is not getting to the computer.
You need a 95 cluster and wiring to go with the 95 computer. I am guessing that you are using the 95 PCM and engine wiring harness. Is it a 4R70W or a E4OD transmission? |
well i got the book on wireing just not sure what pages to scan for you... will just genral electic wireing diagram work ?
|
well, we just need diagrams on the engine wiring harness and tranny. mainly about how the computer communicates with the engine and tranny.
