Need Help choosing right truck for my business

Hi I'm starting my landscaping business and I'm looking to buy a Ford 4x4 Truck but I cant decide which one would be the best for my business?

It's my first time shopping for a truck,That's why I'm asking for your help!

My ex-boss guided me and told me that It would better suit me if I buy a pick up truck with a Dump trailer that buying a dump truck since I would have to pass inspection each year and also stop at all the controls on the highway and also the price would be much higher... that I should get those items seperate and would have less problems to start.

Anyway... here's what I will be buying ...

I'm buying a brand new 7'x14' Dump trailer with a 14000 lbs GVWR , It's empty weight is 3930 lbs and the payload is 10100 lbs, this trailer has brakes

I would like to know what is the main difference between a F150, F250 and F350 ?

What would really suit me? I'm looking to spend around 5000$ for a used but good condition Ford truck I think I might get diesel for fuel economy.

what kind of truck will be the best if I have 8000 lbs of stone pavers on my trailer?

Which truck will do the job right if I have to brake in emergency or haul the pavers to a big hill ?

anyway you see my questions, I would really need some answers and some guiding to help me buy the right truck ...at the right price.

I wish I could buy a new truck but I dont have the money so far... maybe in a near future.

Thanks in advance and hope you bring to me your experience and good advise

Regards Stephan

F150 will be too smal for the job. You'll need at least a 250. I believe a dually f350 will need to be saftied each year as a business truck as well. Not the f350 SRW, just the dually. You should be able to pick up an older diesel fairly cheap. Maybe not as cheap as $5000. Shouldn't be too hard to find an older gasser in that range though. Certainly wouldn't go smaller than a 5.8L if you're going that way. Probably leaning toward a 350 diesel. Jmho
