Have decided to downsize. Old Rusty's finally on the road & don't want to pay taxes, ins., tags, etc. on two vehicles. Some details are as follows:

2001 Ex-cop car ( FORD of course ). Currently just over100,000 miles. Don't remember exactly what 100,xxx. Mechanically sound. Body rough, but solid, no rust through. Interior fair. Cloth buckets ( blue ), bench rear. Rear tires not quite 10,000 miles yet. Front tires good. New upper ball joints last year. Also new front shocks then. Had rear shocks replaced later. New plugs & wires ( coil on plug ) at that time. New in tank fuel pump & fuel filter approx. 2 years ago. Have almost smooth spare in trunk, good one ( also already mounted ) in garage. Replaced AM/FM stereo with factory AM/FM-Cass. Display has quit, stereo still works. P.W., P.L., P.W., A.C., rear window defroster, inside trunk ( power ) release. Also has new battery a little less than 1 year ago. Am asking $3,500.00. Runs & drives good. Still lots of life left, would make a good second car if looks aren't important. Looked at NADA ( National Automobile Dealers Association ) page. Low ( rough ) trade in is $2,625.00. High ( clean/excellent ) is $6,575.00. Second owner, bought with 35,xxx miles on it in '03 or '04. Has been daily driver since. Dealers here ( within 25 miles ) are asking $5,000.00 & $6,000.00. Update to ad. Price is reduced $250.00. Originally listed at $3,500.00 with $250.00 off for :-X25 members, making the price $3,250.00. Have found out the parts to repair the parking brake will cost approx. $200.00 from Parts Guy Ed ( Y2K Ford Parts, :-X25 sponsor ). Therefore I will reduce the price $250.00 from the original $3,500.00 / :-X25 price $3,250.00 to $3,250.00 / :-X25 $3,000.00. Below is a list of additional work done at Tech School:

1) Cooling system flush & fill, new thermostat, & upper radiator hose ( soft ).
2) Tranny flush & fill, new filter.
3) Rear end flush & fill.
4) Lube, oil, & filter.
5) Replace burnt out headlight.
6) Repair pkg. brake cable loose ( not completed due to cost of parts ).
7) Install new rear brake pads.

Add newer ( full size ) Bronco to the possible trade for list. Would want 351W fuel injected & auto.

:confused: Going on 3 weeks now & still nothing. What's wrong? Nobody? :-huh Just saw an ad in the parts section, somebody's selling the front crossmember from an '03 FOR $800.00. That's almost 1/3 as much as I'm asking for a complete, running, drivable car. It has been my daily driver since purchased.

Took it down to Cape Girardeau over Christmas eve & combined with running around here some before leaving, pulled down 18.3 MPG. Full size 4 door, V-8 rear wheel drive, I'm not complaining. Think it did better coming back, haven't filled it up yet to see. Filled there & still have just under 3/4 tank showing on the gauge.

Just filled it up yesterday & checked. On the return trip, it pulled down 20.6 MPG. Thought it did better on the way back. Also, no driving around here, just the trip back. Okay, went & played " Google " a little bit. Didn't find The Beast, but in '06 curb weight was 39xx lbs. & '07 was 41xx lbs. So, I'm just going to call it 4,000 lbs. 20 MPG from a 4,000 lb. vehicle with a V-8 doesn't sound too shabby to me. Going to visit her son up in Quincy, Ill. tomorrow. Think I'll take The Beast again & check the mileage again, just for fun.

Haven't filled up yet. Will post results when I do.

Didn't fill up yet, went to a dealer to look at a possible car. Started right up after sitting for probably a week in this weather. No problems, ran great. No deal at the dealer, so it's still available. Please note the :-X25 price in the posts. Not what is listed in title. Is on Craig's List for what's in the title.

All right :-X25, I have my eye on a new toy. Need cash, so The Beast is now $2,500.00 for folks here from :-X25. You MUST tell me :-X25 if you want it at that. It's still on The List, reduced there from $3,500.00 to $3,000.00.

Okay, my niece just called this morning. She definitely wants it. She said she had part of her tax money back & is waiting for the weather to clear before she heads this way. Looks like I will be listing Ursulla in a while instead of The Beast. Don't really know much about Ursula, will wait till she gets here & I learn a little about her. Do know she said she replaced all the injectors. Supposedly they were all not working. That doesn't sound right to me.
