Ford 6.7 production to start....mention of 4.4 also

Found this a few minutes ago. It also mentions the 4.4 light duty diesel and says it's going to be produced there for use in the Land Rovers. Makes me wonder if they are going to use the Rovers as a test bed for the 4.4 before putting them in the F-150. Even though Ford doesn't own Rover any longer, they apparently still have some kind of agreement with them on engines.

From what I have heard?. Ford has had the 4.4L Powerstroke tested and ready now for six years. The power out put was somewhere in the neighborhood of 250hp/400ft/lbswith @30mpg. From what I was told Mr. Fields does not believe the American public wants more diesel powered trucks or cars. Otherwise we would be able to get diesels in four of the current car models[ check the ford site in Europe, South America and Asia] the ranger [2.5 or 3.0l diesels] and the F-150.
