Oil Pressure Gauge Dropping

I have a 2000 Expedition and the oil gauge will drop for a couple seconds then go back to normal. It does this all the time driving. So I bought a new oil sending unit but cant find out how to replace it. Can anyone tell me where and the world is this sending unit located? I read a link that said front driver side head....still no luck. Please help!!

It's on the front of the engine BELOW the driver's side cylinder head. Take a look at where the upper radiator hose bolts to the block. The oil sender is just below and to the right of it. Right of it being towards the driver's side of the vehicle.

Still need help...was able to replace the sending unit...and now the gauge will drop and stay a minute or two at the low level as before it would drop down then instantly come back to normal. Any suggestions?

Remove the sending unit and screw in a mechanical test gauge. This will tell you if you really are losing pressure or if it's an electrical or gauge issue.

You'll need a mechanical test gauge like this one.
