Welcome to FTE by the way! |
I think I know what you mean. Instead of FORD at the top of the badge, it has stars. I have seen them. My guess is that it is a cheap imitation that the makers did not want to pay any $$ to Dord.

Not for a '56
I know this is an old thread, but it includes incorrect information.
The emblem referenced in the original post is NOT for a '56. It is for a 57 and possibly early '58, but was also used on the 1957-1990 (yes 1990) C-series cab-overs. The are two variations: one with three stars at the top and the other with "FORD" at the top. The is also a possible difference in the mounting pins. The three-star version I have in my hand has three lugs. I have seen a "FORD" version with only two lugs centered vertically. The major difference between the '53-'56 and the '57 is that the back of the '57 is flat, where-as the '53-'56 is curved to fit over center ridge of the hood. The part number for the '53-'56 is BAAA-16637-A. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...bba2f5b4dc.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...8576738175.jpg |
