87 ford f150 gas gauge not working
 
OK first off thanks for the help to everyone. I just got back from iraq in i bought a 1987 ford f150 1/2 supercab. It has a 351w stuff i done to it i put a new front tank, fuel pump new, fuel line, holley double pumper, has a cam, edelbrock performer intake, plugs, plug wires, coil, headers, dual pipes no cats, Torque converter, flywheel, oil change, all hoses ,fuses, crusier alloy 16 new tires, rotors, ford racing chrome pan, filter, i have a lot of work to this truck its my pride and joy, please help me the truck was siting seens 1994 i bought it from texas i live in arkansas. Thankful for everybodys help and god bless the usa and all are troops.

I forgot i been looking at fuel sending units autozone and advance auto parts told me the dont sale them. For the 351w but the also fight with me about saying my xl cant have 351w lol. I know some one on here will help me thanks

My guess is the float or sending unit. i don't get why auto parts don't have it...thats stupid. but that's my two cents, it happened to my brothers 1985 f350 (and his 93 f350 lol) but good luck with your truck and much respect!

ok.i will venture a guess on why there is no sending unit listed for your truck. i work for one of the above mentioned companies. i went to our site and looked it up. im thinking maybe its not on there because your truck is carbed not FI. BUT you are still ok. you use the sending unit from an f250 with a 460. both have the same tanks and are carbed. everything will bolt right up.
