Trucks in movies as props
<Does anyone in British Columbia know of a directory for cars and trucks that are available for movie studios to rent? I live near Seattle and have a 1939 Ford V8 pickup that's restored. The movie and TV industry are very active in BC - much more than in Seattle - and I'd like to rent my truck out when a 30s or 40s filming is going on. Any web sites or directories that provide this type of listing? Thanks - 1939redtruck.>

I have a BC/Alberta Film Makers directory some where around here.
Have you done a google for BC Movie studios like the one in North Vancouver? I can't help with names or anything. I do however remember hearing something about how poorly movie types treat cars that they use. They treat them like props and not the pride and joy we treat them like.
Just some info. |

I once rented my '59 Merc to be used for a Wiseguy episode set in the 60's. I regret not taking the day off to drive it myself; it didn't feel right afterwards, and I suspect the teamster who drove it ran the battery flat listening to country music all day. As it turned out, the truck didn't end up on-screen.
Someone from Cannell films spotted my truck parked on the street, and left their business card under a wiper with a note. |

My Truck & I were in Dead Bang.
Right at the start of the movie after the guy robs the store.
