97 7.3 Powerstroke problems
 

Ok, this all started 3 years ago. We purchased a 7.3 and had nothing but problems with it. Here is the major one. As we were making a delivery during the winter (2006) the truck was running fine, sputtered a few times and shut down. It has never started since. We have had several diesel mechanics look at the truck and no one seems to know what the problem is. Changed the cam sensor twice and still nothing. Tried spraying either into the breather when turning it over and it doesn't even hit a lick. Does anyone have any suggestions? I need this truck running, belongs to my father and he is done with it and said if I get it running, she is all mine. I need it to tow with but I need it to run first. Thanks in advance for any information given.

Won't Starting
 

I'm not sure if this will work but I was talking to a guy resently and he had a '96 powerstroke. His quit running and wouldn't start too. He found a loose wire at his fuel heater on the fuel filter housing. Worth checking out.

check wires into valve cover they melt sometimes
