Oem gps nav system

Hi guys and gals,

Heres my question, was wondering if anyone has put a 06 factory oem gps nav system in a earlier super duty models. They were not offered on the super duties but other ford models, and was wondering if it would fit? I know i would need to add a satalite antenna. I was just wondering if the plugs would match, and if it would fit in the dash w/o modifing it. The units I'm looking at were on Escape, Focus, and some Lincoln models in 06. BTW my truck is an 06

Thanks in advance for any info, Howard

Hmmm,

my $.02 ?

You would be much better served with an aftermarket one...

More features/support/cheaper/ etc....

I know, the stock integrated unit is nice, but I haven't seen a one that was not 2 or 3 generations behind the latest offerings of the AM community...

and updating maps usually costs a mall fortune for the stock units...

whereas my Garmin 765T has a $100 lifetime map update program with map updates 4 times a year...

good luck !

Now, THERE is a good reason to buy Garmin.. Magellan charges $90/map update,
once a year if you're lucky..
