V10 fuel pressure?

Any body changed a fuel pressure regulator on one of these? I'm having an issue with it running really lean, like laying down with no power lean.I put the pressure gauge on it and I'm running an even 30 pounds at the rail. Changed the filter in hopes, but no change.
Just changed the O2 sensors and they were both white.

i had the exact same thing...i had to replace the fuel pump...ended up having sugar in my tank...but, make sure u test the pressure while driving. mine had 30 at idle, but driving it only had like 15...strap the gauge to the wiper and watch it. probably a fuel pump problem...good luck

Guess I should have taken a test drive before posting. Changing the O2 sensors straightened the problem out. Go figure, I knew that they could go bad and not throw codes, but had never had one fail on me like this before.

Out of curiousity I ran it with the fuel pressure gauge hooked up, It stuck constant on thirty, I even tried pressing the pressure relief vavle on the side of the gauge and it didn't even stumble, pressure dropped to 20 and then bounced right back up to 30.
Now if I can trace down my itermittent miss I'll be set. I have the feeling that the plugs are original, judging from everthing else I've fixed so far.

You should get about 38-40 with the vacuum disconnected from the regulator.

No fuel rail connection

I have an E450 motor home and I can't find a fuel pressure connection on the fuel rail so I connected in place of the fuel filter what should the pressure be. And since I can't check while driving will that make a huge difference?

With the engine not running, and you connected there, before the fuel pressure regulator, you should see 38-40 I'd think, maybe even higher.

Thanks

Where is the regulator and should I get about 30 connecting after that

After the regulator, at the fuel rail, you'll get 38-40 with the engine running and the vacuum line disconnected from the regulator. With it connected, at idle, you should see 28-30.

I'm getting 50 psi at the fuel filter. I have replaced the filter and the pressure control censer. I cleared the codes and took it out and the 191 code came back Should I replace the pressure regulator or try something else?

Thanks for all your help.

I have 2 psi key on and 16psi with engine on. I’m assuming more fuel pump rather than the fuel regulator?
