Transmission Fluid Capacity

I am working on a 1994 F-150 with E40D Transmission, I just did a filter change and need to know how much fluid to put in.

if it's anything like my F-250 5 spd... You have a plug on the side where you can fit the square end of a rachet in to take out (on the side of the tranny). once you take the plug out fill the tranny until a little drains back out the plug hole... put the plug back in and your done... you can also call ford for the exact E40D amount... my ZF-542 took 4-5 qts

Um, Dude. You're talking about a manual vs an automatic here. The E4OD is an automatic transmission.

Depending on if you drained the Torque Convertor, which holds the majority of the fluid, you can get up to 18 ltrs into that tranny (mine took just over 17). Capacity is listed in the back of your owners manual, if in doubt.

Hope this helps.
