Well, after a 10 year wait, I've finally started on the 67 rebuild. Tear down has begun!

Here are a few pics of the interior. Man, the seat had a lovely smell of mouse urine! If I don't find another cab, this one will need some floor board work on both sides, and some rocker panel work.

Here are some pics from last night. Motor and tranny out.....

I did find out the tranny was fine, I was thinking that the input shaft may have broke. Turns out the clutch disc had come apart on me.

Okay, cab is completely stripped (man, is there a LOT of stuff to take out!) and it's ready to be lifted off. Going to get the box all ready to go before planning the body removal party!

Thanks Dallas, she's getting there! Okay, finally got the body off, with the help of my brother in law and his tractor. Beats manual labor any day!

And now down to stripping the rest of the frame, getting it ready for sandblasting and paint.

Well, I am now the official owner of FOUR Ford pickups! Went out to Randy's (fordnutforever) place, and bought this off of him. Cab is in really good shape. Not much else on the truck I can use. The bed is straight, but the floor is shot. I may cut out the rear fender panels, and use them on my bed. I'd rather have original than take a chance on aftermarket stuff.

Well, just have to get the engine towers off, and she ready for sandblasting and paint.

That's a pretty good parts truck. Chassis looks good so far. It's going to look awesome when you get it blasted and painted. Don't forget to take out your cab mount and core support bushings. It's possilbe you may need to do some work the the cab mount holes. Or you may have them already out and no work needed.

Yeah, Buck, I gotta cut out those bushings tomorrow also. I'll post up a pic of my homemade frame rotisserie when I get it put together this weekend.

Have you already tried to thread in a bolt a little ways and then hit the bolt with a large hammer to separate the bushings? Sometimes that works. Mine was rusted terrible, but a few hard pounds and they came loose. The hardware may be salvagable, but not if you cut them.
