I'm having a Similiar problem a code p1276 while doing a buzz test I can hear a difference on injector 6 ... While that chart is awesome i am confused about some if the locations it suggests to test ohms from ... I really would like some clarification on the locations of the test points also what is the adapter tool that is listed in that artilcle and can something else be used instead.

If you're getting a bad buzz on #6 I would think you have either a bad injector or silinoid.

What would you do to verify a bad injector or solenoid ?

Man, I'd forgotten all about this thread! Anyway, Brandon, easiest way is to pop the valve cover and swap the solinoid on #4 with #6 and see if the code move to a 1274.
All it takes is a tamper proof torx bit and its easy to do. You don't need to pull the injector or anything. just swap the solinoids. and test run. If it is a bad solinoid I picked mine up from a guy on ebay for about $60 new. I can't remember his name, but a search might find it. good luck Barney edit: found it. I've ohmed the pins at the 42 pin connector (driverside valve cover).
All 8 injectors are showing ~ 10.1 ohm....yes 10.1 ohm. I also tested directly to the 9 pin UVCH pins and got the same ~ 10 ohm. The only code I'm receiving on AE is P1271- High/Low Open KOEO - Buzz Test - ...P1271 occurs Thoughts?... |
