Tinted windows

So I'm considering getting the windows on my truck tinted.

So I've got a few questions for you guys:

1: What do you guys think? Tint em or not?

2: What is the legal limit on tinted windows in CT

3: Do you guys know of any place that does a good job of it?

there is a guy in the same building as "Whip-It Tire" on Rt. 1 in branford, he does excellent work and i think he is fairly priced.

i dont know about the legal limit, but i do know you do not want to go to dark at all. using the mirrors in the dark sucks, sometimes you have no choice but to open the window, wich sucks even more when its -10* out! i forget the % but mine are medium and legal, and i like them, i would hate to go darker from a drivability standpoint.

there is tint info on the DMV website

Fount tint info online

Thanks for the info on where to get it done though. My main reason for posting was finding somewhere that someone had used before that did a good job.

we used him at work on several vans, and he did a great job on all of them. i had his card but lost it. i forget his name, not sure if he even has an official company name. same building as whip-it tire though, and its a small building so you should be able to find him.

Id go for it. My buddy just got 20% tint on his 07 RC LB F350. Looks real good with the truck being bright red. I think im about to tint mine too.

Thanks. And I'm probably going to tint them I just wanted to get some opinions from you guys first. But I'm going to wait on tinting them until I can get a solid piece of back glass in my truck instead of one with the dumb sliding window.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KEEP THE SLIDER!!!!

trust me, the slider isnt "pretty" but its so much nicer to have than a solid piece of glass.

i cant read my own handwriting because i was driving past it.....but the guys place is called GPC tinting (i think...like i said, my writing is pretty rough). i cant read the phone number at all. ill drive by again sometime soon, ill get the number for you when i do.

I'm looking for opinions on that chrome tinting.

Sort of like used on sunglasses. 8D

I've seen a few cars with it.

There's a reflectivity limit on tinting just so you know, Dave. I believe that website says it's like 21% or so.
